You will not be disappointed with this knife. I already owned another Henckel knife (the 6-inch sandwich knife) and everyone in my family fought over it. So we decided to get another Henckel's knife. We settled on the Chef's knife. The biggest difference is that the Chef's knife has a more rounded blade which makes chopping and slicing easier. It's perfect for chopping vegtables. It fits nicely in the hand and is well balanced. Henckel's quality is superb. Just don't put it in the dishwasher (even though the instructions say you can). I already want another one.
