I bought this knife as a present for my son who cooks for entertainment. I own a lot of knives, including several Chicago Cutlery Cooks knives that have served me well for many years. This one has a Stainless Steel handle that fits a large hand well. I don't know if it is dishwasher safe, but the company recommends hand washing the High Carbon Steel.
