I am very unhappy with this product. It mentions that it covers a 8 inch Chef's knife, but it barely covered my knife and slipped off very easily. The guard has a tendency to slip down onto the handle and expose the delicate tip of the knife that is most prone to damage. It seems to be made of cheap plastic and it is definitely NOT worth the 8-9 bucks after shipping costs. I contacted the seller 3 days ago with no reply, and I just filed a claim with Amazon (sigh).
