This is a great knife. It's a very handy, usable size, sharp, and a good weight. It's perfect for slicing meats, such as ham or a firm roast. It is also a good size for chopping vegetables or nuts. It is dishwasher safe but I would hand wash is just to avoid dulling. If you don't have hundreds to invest in quality knives, this is a nice, reasonable alternative.
