First let me say I'm a Wusthof fan, I love this line of knives. In general I'd say you absolutely can't go wrong with the Classic Ikon. It's balanced well, holds an edge, and has a wonderfully ergonomic handle. However, the 10" Chef's Knife misses the mark. The heel of the blade should be much deeper, or taller if you will. It doesn't seem much taller than the 8" Chef's Knife, which in essence defeats the usability or functionality of the extra length. Don't shy away from the Classic Ikon, it's an incredible knife!
