I prefer these because the blades feel a little better balanced and the handles fit my hand really well. To my knowledge, though, everything else about the knives is the same. All in all, great blades. Sharp as razors, and easy to keep sharp with only period use of a steel. My step father is a chef and has been using the Wusthof Grand Prix-II set for years. The knives really hold an edge and have perfect balance. I know my step father really likes the feel and shape of the handle also.

A set like this is really nice because these are the two most used knives for chefs and cooks, it really saves on the wallet when you can get both cheaper then they are singly.
