I was very skeptical about purchasing a good chef's knife on-line prior to handling it. But I must say I was wrong, this Dexter 10" chef's knife is PROFESSIONAL in every way. It is very well made and extremely sharp right out of the box, and well balance too. It fits my hand like a glove and it's a work horse in the kitchen. I have used and owned many different chef knives over the years and so far this is one of my top favorites. Dexter Russell emailed me very quickly with my questions answered prior to me purchasing this particular knife. Which in my eyes was excellent customer service for starters. The weight is just the way I like my chef's knives to feel and the rosewood handle is very nice in looks too. Dexter Russell is been in the knife making business since 1818 n this country which is a great to know and they do make a fine chef's knife. In my eyes I don't believe you can go wrong with this knife.
